My Children

I will start off with my one and only Logan Teel Roberts. His middle name was my great great grandmother's maiden name. My grandfather had this middle name and my dad has this middle name. Logan is 15 and will be going into the 10th grade. WOW that's hard to believe and hard to say. He's a great kid who gives me no trouble, oh and it BETTER stay that way. His hobbies are fishing, hunting and baseball. The kid will fish any chance he gets and he's great at it. He watches the hunting channel and CMT all the time. He loves country music. I have a little redneck country boy. :) Oh and how can I forget the duck calls! Boy oh boy the duck calls. If any of you have a duck hunter in the family you know what I'm talking about. It gets very loud and mom yells a lot! lol

Now on to the next greatest kid, Bella our Labrador Retriever. Can we all guess where her name came from? Yes from Twilight. I know, I know and my son was not thrilled at first with it but it grew on him and so it remained. She was a year January 31st and I must say the best dog ever! I got her mainly for Logan but she has turned out to be MY dog and my baby. She is a sweet and loving angel. I cannot say enough great things about her. She knows how to sit, shake, high five, lay and Logan just taught her how to stay. She seriously is like my 2nd child. I just love her so much.

Lastly we have Thumper our lopped ear bunny rabbit. Thumper was a Christmas present for Logan in 2005. He is a very sweet rabbit. He is a dwarf rabbit so he is small and lives in his cage in the computer room. He does get to roam around the room from time to time. Bella and Thumper used to play together but now that Bella is way larger than him she is a little too rough. She will sit at his cage and lick his face. He loves it believe it or not.

And this is my little family.

The Artist...somewhat

My friend Stephanie had posted a few photos on her facebook showing some art work she had painted at a Go Girl Art paint party. I immediately wanted to paint one! They were adorable. So I talked to her and said I want to go to the next party if you have one. She actually got up a group because so many people kept commenting on her photos too. About the only thing I can draw is a stick figure. I was excited to see how this was going to turn out from start to finish.

The blank canvas.

As you walk in you will find a seat and in front of you is the blank canvas and an apron. I'm feeling all artsy already.
Lisa, the Go Girl Art lady will walk you through step by step on how to draw and paint. So I'm thinking ok cool, this can't be too hard. I'm still feeling good at this point. She then tells you to pull out your pencil and draw a circle. Hmmmm ok, I think I can do this. Then you will start to draw the pedals. This was a little tougher for me. I wasn't sure at first how big or how small to make them. I'm starting to get a little nervous. I'm looking around at others and her sample so she mentions erasers. YES! I need to erase some and start over. Finally I get my pedals drawn and the painting process begins.

The first paint color was kinda like a primer. Still rockin along and having fun.

Wow, it's beginning to look like a flower! Still unsure and nervous at times of what this is going to look like.

The next step you have to paint is the background. Here you kinda forget to breathe since you are trying so hard to NOT mess up what you just did on your pedals. I've always been good at trim work on walls but this was a little challenging but it all worked out.

After adding a few little swirls here is the final work! Yay me! I was so proud of myself. Even my son was amazed that I did this. So now I have a new hobby! I want to start painting more and see what creative side I have in me. It was a lot of fun and I would recommend Go Girl Art paint parties to anyone. Flip Flops

I've never been able to wear flip flops until this year. They've always hurt my toes. All my friends wear them so I was determined to find some and start wearing them this summer. I bought some comfy Nike ones in the Spring. I thought these would be great to get my feet adapted to them. Yay, they don't hurt in between the toes! lol Now I'm a lover of flips! I'm a little addicted as I'm always looking for them now when I go shopping. What are your favorite flips?

My First Blog

I've seen so many of my friend's doing blogs and I've loved reading each of them. I thought I would give a stab at it. So here is my first one. How did I do? lol
